Missions Opportunities
PCBC invites you to join us in supporting missions throughout our community and the world. Here is a list of all the opportunities we are currently supporting through our ladies L.I.F.T group and the church. As we all know it is a busy world and we tend to forget things
, so here is a constant reminder for you to access at any time sp ypu know the dates and projects that are on-going. We continually have mission opportunities available in which you can help in both small and large ways. Please review these opportunities and prayerfully consider how you can serve God through our church's mission outreach!
Prayer Quilt Ministry - Within our church we have many talented ladies who love to sew. A Prayer Quilt Ministry was born and these ladies have been faithful to supply small throw quilts that tell the story of salvation. Each quilt has five crosses in different colors (black representing our sins - red representing the blood that was shed for our sins - yellow representing a change - blue representing the peace that comes from knowing Christ and white representing the cleansing of our sins through salvation. Each quilt also has strings that are tied into a knot by members of our church. Each knot represnts a prayer that has been said for the person receiving the quilt.. These quilts are given to anyone that has serious physical/medical/spiritual needs. If you would like to join in on this opportunity or would like to donate money for material, thread, batting etc., please see Patty Short for details.
Missions Offerings - Each year our church in cooperation with the Tennessee Baptist Association promotes offerings throughout the year for missions. We have the Annie Armstrong Missions Offering at Easter for North American Missions, the Children's Home Offering on Mother's Day for association sponsored children's homes, the Lottie Moon Missions Offering for Foreign Missions during the first week of December and the Golden State Missions Offering during September. In addition our church has a special "Christ for Christmas" offering that is taken during the Christmas Season. These funds are kept as a discretionary fund to help offset needs from anyone needing immediate help.
Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes-We participate each year in packing shoe boxes with gifts for children around the world. This is a ministry conducted by Franklin Graham's Samaritan's Purse.
Tennessee Baptist Children's Home- Our Children's Committee is currently sponsoring a food and clothing drive for the TBCH in Brentwood. Donations are accepted on a continual basis.
